Key factors of financing small companies in early stages within digital economy services in Visegrad 4 member countries
Amankwaa-Opoku, Walter
This thesis focuses on achieving the objectives of identifying the key factors of efficient financing of small companies active in the digital economy services settled in Visegrad 4 member countries within their early life stage phases. These Visegrad 4 member countries include the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, and Hungary. Many works of literature were reviewed in achieving this objective, these pieces of literature include literature on small companies in Visegrad 4-member countries, financing of small companies in Visegrad 4-member countries, literature on Altman Z-score and other bankruptcy models, and literature on non-financial factors that influence SMEs bankruptcy. The thesis was both qualitative and quantitative in nature and analyses were done on the financial statements and non-financial factors of sampled SMEs in the 4 Visegrad countries. Various analyses were undertaken to arrive at this objective, these analyses include analyzing the descriptive statistics, determining the Correlation Matrix, running the ANOVA test to determine the significance level of the key factors in determining the performance of these SMEs and consequently influencing their financing level and also analyzing selected non-financial factors readily available.
Dopady hospodářského rozvoje na úroveň znečištění životního prostředí
Zhirenko, Pavel
This bachelor thesis deals with the analysis of the relationship between pollutants and economic development. The validity of the environmental Kuznets curve for various harmful substances for the whole world, as well as for some individual states and groups of states (Russia, Czech Republic, OECD countries, the least developed countries) is verified by means of regression analysis. Correlation analysis is used to assess the dependence of CO2 emissions per capita on the degree of industrialization, representation of services, the share of agriculture, forestry and fishing in the economy
Links Between Differential and Linear Cryptanalysis
Töpfer, Jakub ; Hojsík, Michal (advisor) ; Göloglu, Faruk (referee)
This thesis concerns the relations between correlation matrix, difference propagation matrix and other matrices used in the block cipher cryptanalysis. We show that some relations between these matrices can be seen just as a change of basis provided by the discrete Fourier transform. This can be used for an easier proof of a well-known theorem. We also study properties of difference propagation matrix, describe a class of vectorial Boolean functions which have the same difference propagation matrix and state a numerically justified hypothesis that this class contains all such functions.
Tracking mortar shell
Miklín, Vojtěch ; Tůma, Jiří (advisor) ; Růžička, Pavel (referee)
This thesis aims to summarize possibilities of using Kalman filter for state estimation of a discrete dynamic system known only from inaccurate measurements. Firstly the notion of statistics, dynamic system and coordinate systems (Cartesian and spherical) are defined. Then the Kalman filter algorithm is described and a physical model for the filter is derived. This thesis is based on chapter 7 of [Tomasi, 1997] (textbook for the CS 205 lecture at Stanford University). Carlo Tomasi applies theory on a simplified example of mortar shell tracking. One of this thesis' objectives was to generalize the method for the case when the observer is not located in the 2D plain of flight of a shell. Another task was to include air resistance and wind in the model equations.
The application of scientific methods in identifying and analyzing problems in public policy
Žemlička, Josef ; Nový, Jan (advisor) ; Veselý, Zdeněk (referee)
The purpose of this thesis is to test the Q method applied in discursive analysis in public policy. The author will carry out research using available scientific literature dealing with the method and prepare a case study whose purpose will be to test the reliability of the method Q in a practical case. Promoters of the Q method argue that the uniqueness of the method rests in its resistance to the subjective influence of the researcher. The purpose of this work is therefore a practical verification of to what extent may the researcher's subjective stance at the selection of the default set of statements reflect on the overall result of the analysis.
